On Hackers
Reporter goes to Hacker Convention.
Reporter refuses to take offered press badge.
Reporter tries to get attendees to admit to felonys.
Reporter tries to take secret footage of attendees.
Reporter is outed in front of room full of Hackers.
Reporter is booed and hissed then followed to her car, having pictures taken of her the entire way.

Bad Reporter; no cookie.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Suck it NBC. Sending a moronic blonde into a convention of really smart people is not a very good idea.

Hey, don't knock blondes.

The worst part is, her credit scores have probably been hit so often the look like a stop sign in backwoods West Virginia.

As well as I bet her voicemail is full of aaaaalll sorts of interesting things.

That was *hilarious*. She went wrong in so many places.

If you're going to tell *anyone* that you're a reporter, or you have a hidden camera, you are no longer undercover. Just get the damn press pass. If you don't get the press pass, then keep your damn mouth shut about your diabolical plan.

She didn't escape empty handed, though. It'll be incredibly easy to spin being chased out by an angry mob of geeks.

Unfotunately for her, it looks like most of the good footage on that score was taken by the geeks. Personally, I'm thinking that NBC elects to can the story completely. Her career is in shambles now. If it was illegal for I. Scooter Libby to out Valerie Plame, then her "cover story" of outing a Fed at Defcon is equally illegal.

NBC has already suffered bad press on this one; running the story just invites more. Plus the awful specter of litigation and serious federal charges.

No Mercy.

I'd say she and the muckrakers at Dateline NBC got just about what they deserved. The only thing that could have been better would be if they were forced to actually run the footage floating around the Net, primetime in Dateline's regular time-slot.
